"Lord Partizans wield a giant lance. No other class can match its piercing power. They have high defensive power compared to other classes, but are weaker against magic."
— The World R:2 Official Site. —
Lord Partizan (重槍士, Jūsō-shi) is a class in The World R:2. They are similar to the Long Arms from R:1.
Usefulness
Lord Partizans have good medium range attacks, but don't excel at "sweeping" attacks like Flick Reaper. Their defense and physical attack stats are very high, with magical attack being their only real weakness. They're also more monster-oriented, with a lot of good armor-piercing and anti-air weapons and skills. Their skill progression for low levels is also among the lowest. Overall, this class can cause the most immediate damage.
List of Skills
In The World R:2, unlike in the predecessor, skills are inherent to a class, not to a weapon. As a player raises his or her job level, he or she will gain access to new abilities.
穿天衝 - Air Raid (Target: Unit, Aerial, SP: 15, Job Lv. 1)
"They specialize in long-range attack and are weak against close encounters, but if necessary their guns can be used as powerful melee weapons which keep most enemies away."
— The World R:2 Official Site. —
Steam Gunner (銃戦士, Jū Sen-shi) is a class in The World R:2 Steam Gunners use steam-powered bayonets developed by humans to attack.
Usefulness
Steam Gunners are the physical equivalent of Shadow Warlocks. Their shots are skills that operate exactly the same way spells do, but deal physical damage instead. Steam Gunners' shots have greater range than any other physical hit, and their physical attack stat has the fastest progression of any class (as of Rebirth). In exchange, their melee hits take the same penalty as those of the other "caster" classes in R:2 in that they lack any of the special types (i.e. "rapid attacks", "hold and release") that most classes have access to.
List of Skills
In The World R:2, unlike in its predecessor, skills are inherent to a class, not to a weapon. As a player raises his or her job level, he or she will gain access to new abilities.
"Shadow Warlocks are experts in attack magic and are allied with the dark spirits. They always carry a book of spells known as a Grimoires to heighten their magic power. Although they can use some healing magic, their repertoire is limited and not very efficient."
— The World R:2 Official Site. —
Shadow Warlock (魔導士, Madō-shi) is a class within The World R:2. Both Shadow Warlocks and Harvest Cleric are considered spinoffs of The World's Wavemaster class.
Usefulness
Their favored weapons are Grimoires, which give bonuses to their magic and elemental stats, and can be used in melee combat, although with very little effect. Shadow Warlock tomes give a much higher magic bonus and have a much lower physical attack than Harvest Cleric staves, though the elemental bonuses are around the same. Like bayonets, neither staves nor grimoires have special types (i.e. "Rapid Attacks", "Hold and Release") for melee combat. Like Macabre Dancers and Harvest Cleric, Shadow Warlocks gain spells very quickly, at a rate of almost one per job level, but learn no arts.
List of Skills
In The World R:2, unlike in its predecessor, skills are inherent to a class, not to a weapon. As a player raises his or her job level, he or she will gain access to new abilities. Some attack spells can be learned by all classes via special, expensive books, but a fair portion of the Shadow Warlock repertoire is unique. (Names in italics are tentative)
Rue Kruz (Target: Unit, SP: 20, Element: Water, Job Lv. 1)
Duk Lei (Target: Unit, SP: 15, Poisons target temporarily, Job Lv. 2)
"Harvest Clerics are experts in healing magic and are allied with the light spirits. They wield a staff in battle in the name of Eir, the Goddess of Tranquility. They can use some attack magic after they reach a certain level, but most concentrate on healing and support magic."
— The World R:2 Official Site. —
Harvest Cleric (呪療士, Ju Ryou-shi) is a class in The World R:2. They are sometimes called "Clerics" for short. Both Harvest Clerics and Shadow Warlocks are considered spinoffs of The World's Wavemaster class.
Usefulness
Their favored weapons are staves, which give bonuses to their magic and elemental stats, and can be used in melee combat, being considerably physicially stronger by level than grimoires but weaker than any other type of weapon. In exchange, Harvest Cleric staves give a much lower magic bonus than Shadow Warlock grimoires, though the elemental bonuses are around the same. Like bayonets, neither staves nor grimoires have special types (i.e. "Hold and Release", "Rapid Attacks") for melee combat. Like Macabre Dancers and Shadow Warlocks, Harvest Clerics learn spells incredibly fast, at a rate of almost 1 per job level, but learn no arts.
List of Skills
In The World R:2, unlike in its predecessor, skills are inherent to a class, not to a weapon. As a player raises his or her job level, he or she will gain access to new abilities. Some healing spells can be learned by all classes via special, expensive books, but a fair portion of the Harvest Cleric repertoire is unique. In addition, since items are unusable in Arena battles, Harvest Clerics are considered a team staple.

"Blade Brandiers fight with a sword similar to a katana. It is said that all warrior classes derive from this class. Although their abilities are average, they can adapt to a wide variety of situations."
— The World R:2 Official Site. —
Blade Brandier (斬刀士, Zantō-shi) is a class in The World R:2. They are very similar to the Blademaster class from R:1.
Usefulness
A Blade Brandier's damage and hit rate are somewhere in between Twin Blade and Edge Punisher, making it an average class in terms of strength. In regards to speed, the Blade Brandier is not as fast as a Twin Blade or Tribal Grappler, however, they are much faster than heavily armored classes, such as Lord Partizan.
Weapons
Blade Brandier's wield medium-sized, one-handed, or katana-like swords in battle.
List of Skills
In The World R:2, unlike in its predecessor, skills are inherent to a class, not to a weapon. As a player raises his or her job level, he or she will gain access to new abilities.
Twin Blade (双剣士, Sōken-shi) is a class in The World and The World R:2 which wields dual blades. It is also a class in The World R:X. It is the only class "carried over" between three revisions.
Usefulness
A Twin Blade in The World R:2.
The World
Twin Blades are the most balanced class in The World. They are noted for their superior traveling speed and hit rate. Twin Blades was the original the proverbial "jack of all trades, master of none" due to the fact that while they have decent attack stat growths, have decent magical stats, and higher speed growth, they are unable to equip the strongest armors, have lower attack growths than the other classes, and do not have access to stronger magic skills. Their greatest strength lies with their multi-hit skills. Each skill has several elemental versions, and as a result are capable of dealing massive damage to enemies weak against those elements.
Moonstone, a Twin Blade in The World
The World R:2
In The World R:2, Twin Blades are extremely versatile, with more weapon types and subtypes than any other class. Their attacks are somewhat weak, but quick and easy to combo. Twin Blades have high agility and attack with two short swords. Their rapid attacks leave no opening for an opponent to counterattack.
List of Skills
There are three basic types of Twin Blade attacks: Staccato (deals over 15 hits to a single target), Tiger Claws (deals over 5 hits to targets within the player's vicinity), and Saber Dance (deals 4 strong hits to a single enemy). Although the non-elemental versions of these attacks don't do quite as much damage as one would hope, the elemental versions can deal ridiculous damage to monsters with the opposite element. Unfortunately, none of these attacks have versions dealing Earth or Water damage.
